Hello, I just wanted to say how terribly sorry I amfor your loss. I worked with Tony at the University. I had been gone for several months and was shocked to learn about his passing. Tony was such a great man. He was always so helpful and always, always had a big smile on his face. I remember when I first met him, he was actually one of the very first people that I met here at the university, I just remember him really looking out for me and making my work life so much easier. I know that there is nothing that I can say to ease the pain of your loss but just know that God doesnt make any mistakes and Tony is simply another angel looking down on your family. May his soul rest peacefully. Sincerely, Samina Chaudhry

I met Tony some 23 years ago at UIC, College of Dentistry. He was a wealth of knowledge. When he left the COD and went to the COM, we kept in touch. Tony would stop by periodically to make certain that I was doing well in my many moves at the COD. My prayers are with Pete, Sylvia and the entire Family. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Be Blessed!

Capistran Family: Heartbroken to hear of Tonys death. Now you know how loved he is at UIC. I met Tony while searching for re-deployable casework and miraculously he had exactly what I was looking for. I also spied a small autopsy table to repurpose for processing paperwork. It was deemed unsuitable. Tony consoled me with his experience in letting something go. He had his eye on a handsome psychiatrist couch for his office but considered the distraction it might raise and let it go on to surplus. While we did no projects together, Tony was a kindred spirit in reimagining alternative was of seeing things. And he had a devilish sense of humor. This spring we met again after a long time. He called my name and I did not recognize him with his changed appearance. He laughed so hard and said Its me. Immediately, the hearty laugh, big smile, mischievous eyes gave him away. What joy! How lucky we all are to have had Tony in our midst!

I was sad to hear only yesterday about Tonys passing. It was always nice to see his friendly face stop by the office. Tony was a warm, welcoming colleague who never hesitated to reach out to whenever needed. He will be missed.

Tony was my neighbor about 9 years back. From the moment I met him, I loved his sense of humor and warm personality. The 3 years I lived there, he became like family and we shared many great times together. He was so good to my husband and I and had such a big heart. My deepest condolences to his family, whom he always spoke so highly of. We miss you Tony!
