I met Benjamin when he joined our family in the mid-1980s. I would see him because he was my sister, Leonors, boyfriend and in my town it was traditional to see ones girlfriend in the front door of the house. My dad put me in charge of telling Leonor to come inside the house at 9 pm. In these occasions, Benjamin would tell me to wait a while longer. In these instances, I would keep asking Leonor if she was ready. Shortly after this, Benjamin asked my dad for permission to see Leonor and things got easier. Shortly after that, Benjamin married Leonor in a civil marriage ceremony. Then, Benjamin married Leonor in La Preciosa Sangre de Cristo Church. I am very grateful to have known Benjamin because he was a positive role model in my life. Benjamin has a beautiful family and I have one nephew and niece that are very responsible. We will continue to be united just like the first day we met each other.

Benjamin was one of the most humble men Ive ever met. He welcomed me into his family immediately. Every time I would see him, he would be walking around with his chest proud and a smile on his face greeting people with joy. We will live to honor Benjamin everyday!
