I was 10 yrs. old when I first met Betty Lou and her parents. They stayed at our summer resort in Minocqua Wi. Through the years she would continue to vacation up north and visit with the many friends she loved and enjoy the Northwoods. I will miss the times we would talk about the 60s and all the changes in Minocqua over the years. God bless Bill Schlecht.

I give thanks and praise to God for all the memorable moments shared with Betty Lou over the years. She often came up to the Northwoods of Wisconsin to vacation and visit. I first met Betty Lou when I worked at Dans Minocqua Fudge during the summer and fall months in the early 1990s. Betty seemed to be a very friendly and happy person and in time we became good friends. Over the years we kept in touch by phone and letters to each other. She was a very thoughtful, loving and kind person. She came for my husbands and my 25th wedding celebration 8 years ago and also stayed at our home in the woods while Larry and I went to Chicago. Betty Lou loved to see our wildlife of deer, turkeys, chipmunks, birds and even the bear! Next spring I will name a fawn in her memory. May Betty Lous goodness continue to shine forth in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
