Claire had a tremendous impact on my life. I will miss her laugh, her insight and her love of people. She helped me more times than I can count and helped me get back into organizing at Citizen Action/IL. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Claire, and I will continue to use her as motivation in my work. Prayers and blessings to you and Henry. May her love and laugh carry you thru these difficult times.

I was a coworker of Claire at the RTA. I was shocked and deeply saddened when I heard the news. I also have a son and I am heartbroken when I think about Henry, who she loved and admired so much. I will never forget Claires affectionate laughter and smile. We at the RTA miss her very much! Your entire family is in my thoughts and prayers and sending love and strength to you in this difficult time.

Dear Kurt, Henry and loving family members, Patty and I sincerely wish we could offer a small dose of comfort to you on the stunning loss of Claire. A wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law and much admired friend to so many. The thoughts written previously by others are touching and so true. We hope you find comfort in the indelible memories Claire leaves. Hopefully, some day we can share with Henry the wonderful stories of his beloved mother.

I was a coworker and friend of Claire at the RTA. She was such a wonderful, caring, kind, and lovely woman. She was someone who you could walk into her office, sit down and just have a real conversation with. and always felt listened to and heard. I will miss her dearly. My sincere condolences to Kurt, Henry, and Claires family and friends.

Hello. I was a colleague of Claires at the RTA. Actually she was the one who called me in for the interview and I think I did my first interview as well. She was so kind. And always a good listener. And thats a serious thing because I can talk! She helped me through some very difficult times. Never judging. Always listening. This is such devastating news. I will always always remember her with a smile and an open heart. Im sending my love to her whole family.

I met Claire on the Bill Bradley for President campaign during what felt like the coldest winter Iowa has ever known. I initially had no car and, but for her willingness to let me ride with her to the office, Im not sure how I would have survived, much less made it to the office. Of course her warm smile and easy laugh made the drive one the best parts of my day. She will be dearly missed.
