Diane Lowery of Broadview, IL

d. October 31, 2017

Diane Lowery, 62, passed away at Rush Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, on Friday October 27, 2017.  Diane was born in East Chicago, Indiana on December 13, 1954, to the late Albert Lee and Mary Louise Pollard.  On June 2, 1973, Diane was joined in marriage to Michael Lowery. They soon began their family with one daughter and two sons.  Diane was a deeply devoted daughter, sister, wife and mother.  Everyone that knew Diane was drawn to her beautiful wide smile that lit up the room on any dark day.  Her hobbies included watching old classic movies, finger-snapping to good music, and surrounding herself with friends and family. However, most of all she found her greatest joy serving her God, Jehovah.  Diane was dedicated and baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on November 22, 1969. This makes nearly 50 years as an active member in one of the many congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses. For about 20 of those years she served as a full-time Bible instructor in the community.  She was preceded by death by her brothers Al and Timothy Pollard and her husband, Michael Lowery. Survived by her children, Shayla (Jokton) Coleman, Michael (Dominique) Lowery, and Marc (DeAndra) Lowery.  Her siblings, Gene Pollard, Janice Minor, and Donna (Terry) Essex. Lastly, her precious grandchildren, Ryan and Brielle Lowery. Diane will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.  We look forward to seeing her bright smile, hearing her delightful voice and always, always remember her fashionable attire and fresh smelling perfumes. Memorial Service Saturday, November 4th at 6:30pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Bellwood.
