Diane Lowery of Broadview, IL

Diane Lowery, 62, passed away at Rush Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, on Friday October 27, 2017.  Diane was born in East Chicago, Indiana on December 13, 1954, to the late Albert Lee and Mary Louise Pollard.  On June 2, 1973, Diane was joined in marriage to Michael Lowery. They soon began their family with one daughter and two sons.  Diane was a deeply devoted daughter, sister, wife and mother.  Everyone that knew Diane was drawn to her beautiful wide smile that lit up the room on any dark day.  Her hobbies included watching old classic movies, finger-snapping to good music, and surrounding herself with friends and family. However, most of all she found her greatest joy serving her God, Jehovah.  Diane was dedicated and baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on November 22, 1969. This makes nearly 50 years as an active member in one of the many congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses. For about 20 of those years she served as a full-time Bible instructor in the community.  She was preceded by death by her brothers Al and Timothy Pollard and her husband, Michael Lowery. Survived by her children, Shayla (Jokton) Coleman, Michael (Dominique) Lowery, and Marc (DeAndra) Lowery.  Her siblings, Gene Pollard, Janice Minor, and Donna (Terry) Essex. Lastly, her precious grandchildren, Ryan and Brielle Lowery. Diane will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.  We look forward to seeing her bright smile, hearing her delightful voice and always, always remember her fashionable attire and fresh smelling perfumes. Memorial Service Saturday, November 4th at 6:30pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Bellwood.

What shock to hear about Dianes death. We remember her as an always-attractive, fun and dedicated sister. The old-fashioned word that comes to my mind is lady-like. How wonderful that she was faithful for so many years! Surely she is secure in Jehovahs memory. Try to remember everything from her death forward she will want to catch up on everyone and all events. Our sincere sympathy for your loss.

I was stunned when I heard of Dianes death. Michael and I were baptized the same day at the old Chicago Assembly Hall. We were in the same congregation when he and Diane were married, and when Shayla was born. Dianes patience, optimism, and determination to maintain her integrity under test were exemplary. I am certain Jehovah will smile the day she is resurrected. Hold on; her return is just around the corner.

To the Lawrey family, I loved listening to Diane and her travels. I felt as if I was there. As you know and could see from the many people at the memorial service Diane was loved. May that bring you comfort in the near future. Love Sister Sampler

Diane was such a sweet person and I was drawn to her the moment I met her. I never saw her in a bad mood or without her smile. I will remember our great times together.
