Obituary

“

A true Chicago fan through and through, Frances found great enjoyment in the excitement of a good game.

Frances Nannie Bass, age 93, of Chicago, Illinois. Beloved wife of the late Willie Alfred Bass; loving and devoted mother of Arthur (Elrine) Bass, Kenneth (Tandy) Bass and the late Charles Bass Sr.; cherished grandmother of Evan (Arianna) Bass, Charles Bass Jr., Derrick (Leah) Bass, Rena Lima, Enaluz Lima, Joel Crespo, Sebastian Alvarez, and Juliana Alvarez; proud great-grandmother of Ariana Bass, Jordan Bass, Nicole Alexis, Ava Frealing and Zakiya Bass; dear sister of Calbert Brooks, the late Jewell Green, the late Robert "RT" Green, the late Chester Green, the late Charles Green, the late Artis Green, the late Christine Green (Marable), the late Ruth Brooks (Joyce), and the late Albert Brooks.

Frances was a devoted Chicago sports fan who loved cheering on her hometown teams. Whether it was the Bears, Bulls, Cubs, or White Sox, she enjoyed following the games and rooting for her favorites. Her enthusiasm for sports extended to college basketball, which she also loved watching. A true Chicago fan through and through, Frances found great enjoyment in the excitement of a good game and the familiar tradition of cheering on her teams.

Above all, Frances will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the many memories they created together. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
