Grace Overton of Winfield, IL

Grace Evaline Overton, age 97, passed peacefully at home on February 21, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Eva Erhmann and all of her 9 brothers and sisters.  She is survived by her 3 cherished daughters, Patricia D. (Les) Wells, Peggy A. (John) Pratscher, and Pamela J. (Thomas) Howell; her beloved grandchildren, Robert D. Dieter, Danielle L. (Michael) Neal, Clinton W. (Dawn) Dieter, John C. (Amanda) Pratscher II, and Samantha L. (Eric) Kraus, and many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored.  She was loved by all who knew her and she lived each day as if it were the first day of the rest of her life, always smiling, always happy that God graced her with one more day to spend with those she loved.  She especially loved the modern technology of Skype, which she did not understand, but loved that it allowed her to see and talk to those who were far away and unable to visit in person as often as they wanted to.

We will celebrate her life on April 28, 2018 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church 751 W. Army Trail Road, Barlett, IL 60103 (corner of Army Trail Road and Petersdorf  Road, kitty corner from Bartlett High School) with family visitation from 10 am to 11 am and her memorial service at 11 am.  If you prefer to donate in lieu of flowers, we would welcome donations in her memory to ESSE Adult Day Care, information at www.esseadultdaycare.org or to Guiding Light Hospice in Serena, Illinois, information at www.guidinglighthospice.com.
