Carol, my condolences to you, and all of your family . I was a Freshman at Taft in Sept. ‘74-‘March of ‘75 when my family moved to California.. Mr. Roberts taught my Algebra class for those 8 months, and left such a lasting impression that I decided to look him up online today. I was sad to see he had passed, but not at all surprised at how many lives he touched while he was here. I never got to tell him that when I transferred to a class in California, it was a breeze because he had given me such a solid foundation I already knew the material. He truly was gifted as a teacher. I am so thankful I had a chance to study under his guidance. Take care, you are in my prayers.

Dear Susan, Your memory of Mr. Roberts never giving up on you and Trig reminds me that he never gave up on me and golf. He was still critiquing my swing and giving me tips as I practiced in early May. His suggestions have made me a better player. Sincerely, Carol

Mr Roberts was my math teacher at Taft HS. He was so kind and so patient. Im forever grateful to him he gave me confidence and spent time helping figure out Algebra Trig. He never gave up on me. He was able to finally help me get it. Got a B but he gave me credit for not giving up. But I certainly would have but his kind spirit and words kept me from giving in Im so happy to hear he lived to 95! RIP Mr Roberts and thank you!

My condolences to Mr. Roberts family. I only spent 10 minutes every day during Division 663 at Taft High School from 1983-86. And I loved him! He was the kindest Division teacher. I often thought of him over the years wondering what he was doing. Im saddened to have read about his passing BUT I am extremely happy to know God granted him 95 yrs on this earth. He has lived his life abundantly. God bless his soul! RIP MR. ROBERTS! Class of 1986! He was proud of me walking across the stage to get my HS diploma!
