You summed her up beautifully! Thank you for your condolences. She loved you both and was so fortunate to be blessed with neighbors who became friends. I will never forget all the kindnesses you bestowed on her. You were one of the reasons she was able to continue living in her own home for so long.

Our deepest condolences to Helens family. She loved you all very much and always talked about you with joy. Helen was one of our oldest and dearest neighbors for many, many years. She was kind and funny and seemed to make the best of any situation. She always knew everything about the neighborhood even before social media. She loved to get out and talk to people. We will miss you, Helen. God blessed you with a long, fulfilling life and we know you are with him now.

We would like to express our sympathy to the family of Helen Martinkus on occasion of her death. She persevered with graciousness despite physical difficulties and will be fondly remembered. Helen and our deceased mother Agnes became acquainted while serving with the Sisters of St. Casimir auxiliary and raising their families. Hospitable indeed, after Agnes husband died and she returned to North Riverside, Helen would invite her over for coffee and to stay in touch. I hope her example will give you strength and help in overcoming your loss. Prackaila family
