John Albert Veverka

John Albert Veverka, age 74 of Grayson, GA formerly of Cicero, IL passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022. John was preceded in death by his parents Arthur & Grayce Veverka; and his sister and brother-in-law Judith & Richard Tonhaiser. He is survived by his wife Sandra Veverka; niece and husband Amy & Richard Marrero; nephew, Steven Tonhaiser; great nephew Joseph Marrero and many other loving family members. John was a US Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was a mortician, Western Electric employee, and general contractor. He was a commander at VFW post 5255 for 16 years. John was also a member of the American Legion, Amvets, I.O.O.F Bohemia Lodge No. 202, and NCO Non-Commissioned Officers Association. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to VFW Post 5255 Lawrenceville GA, P.O.
