Dear Mel, This will be your first Christmas in heaven. I remember all the fun Christmas we shared when our parents and families were still with us. Still difficult to believe you are gone. I miss you so much and this Christmas is a sad one for me. Until we meet again. Love you always, Donna

My good friend, Mary: Please accept my most sincere condoleces. Mels departure leaves a huge hole in your life, but you have good friends and family to help you through these sad days. Although you and mel found each other quite late in life, it was a wonderful and fortuitious meeting. And despite Mels really serious health complications, he managed to live to a ripe old age. I suspect that your loving presene in his life contributed to his rather miraculous survivial. With the injury you sustained from a fall, you are not able to begin the next chapter, but, as my mother was one to say This too shall pass Mary I am always here for you. Call me whenever you want. Your good friend, Penny

Mel was a special guy, an inspiration. He was the high school buddy of Dean Booras, my deceased loved one. We enjoyed the many visits he and Mary made to Naples. I always admired his positive attitude, as well as Marys devotion to him. He will be missed. Mel, may your memory be eternal!

My dear Mel, We knew each other 48 years. Even after we divorced, I considered you my very dear friend. We had fun thru the years. We both loved antique hunting and golfing. You were much, much better than me! I loved our trips to your Aunts farm in New York. Such beautiful country out there. You had such a loving, extended family. Your Aunt Anna and Aunt Bessie were truly like second mothers to you and Uncle Lynn was a father figure to you growing up as you spent many summers at the farm. You were loved by so many. Rest in heaven. Now there is no more pain and suffering. I hope you play lots of golf and eat anything your heart desires especially strawberry shortcake. Give my mom, dad and Dale a hug for me. Until we meet again. Love you so very much, Donna

My dearest Mel, Youve gone and left me after twelve wonderful years! What am I supposed to do now? Weve had such a fun life together trips to Florida, Hawaii and wherever the highway took us. We enjoyed golf (you always beat me). You taught me to be strong. Now you have gone where there is no pain and suffering. You never complained. I send you my love until we meet again. Mary
