Our family wants to express our thanks to everyone who has been on this journey with us since Steve’s cancer diagnosis in August of 2015.  Your packages, porch drop-offs, texts, sidewalk chalk messages, phone calls, drop-ins, snow and leaf removal, offers of help, dinners, treats, hugs and outright caring for our family frequently brought me to tears.  The simple “What can we do?” and “What do you need?” was a gentle hug, a reminder that there is a community of love around us.  Please know that your support was needed, and recognized, and appreciated more than we can say.

Cremation Private.

Memorial donations to BEDS PLUS 9601 Ogden Avenue LaGrange, IL 60525 would be appriciated.

Barb and Nick, Our hearts feel heavy each time we remember that Steve is gone from Ashland. We were so blessed to get to know him over the past 5.5 years. Its remarkable how great of an impression he made in that time. Few souls have his gift for unlocking hearts. It was hard not to smile when he was around. We miss him and are always here for you and Nick. The Cutlers

Barb and Nick, It has been a pleasure to call Steve our friend. He was a rare person that you could always count on for help, a great story, or a listening ear. He was truly one of the good guys and fought with tremendous courage to stay as long as he could. Im beyond sad at your loss. I pray that you continue to feel his presence everyday. Blessings.

Those we love dont really go away. They walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard but always near; still loved, still missed and always dear. I met you just once at 416 Mr. Wolf. You seemed humble, sweet and kind. A simple beautiful soul Its your time to return home but I know you will always be watching over your lovely wife, your son and your entire beautiful family! Rest in Peace! Rehanna
