Theresa “Terry” M. Rizzo, 88, nee Vaicunas, retired Registered Nurse of 40 plus years, beloved wife of the late Antony M. Rizzo, cherished daughter of the late Joseph and late Mary Vaicunas, loving mother of Judith (Dwight) O’Brien, Mark (Catherine), Marita (Scott) Pope and Carlo (Cindy Hurckes). Devoted grandmother of Christopher (fiancé Lauren Grabstanowicz), Kevin, Kirsten, Genevieve, Natalie and Nicole. Fond sister of the late Joseph (late Helen) Vaicunas and late Helen (late Albert) Statkus. Dear sister-in-law of late Mary (late Ernest) Favaro and Donald, Sr. (late Ida) Lippo. Dearest Godmother, aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Visitation Monday, October 12, 2015, 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at KURATKO-NOSEK FUNERAL HOME, (Mark A. Rizzo, Director), 2447 South DesPlaines Avenue, North Riverside. Funeral Tuesday, October 13, starting with prayers from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., going in procession to St. Anthony of Padua Church, Cicero, for 10:30 a.m. Mass. Entombment Christ the King Mausoleum, Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.

Terry was past President of the Catholic Daughters and a Choir member of St. Anthony Church. She worked for over 20 years as the Town of Cicero’s Parochial School nurse, as well as a Precinct Captain. She also enjoyed her family, playing canasta with her fellow nurses, going to the casino, swimming, gardening and travel, especially to Walt Disney World with her family.

To the Family of Theresa Rizzo, Please accept the heartfelt condolences of the Sisters of St. Casimir Auxiliary and of the Sisters themselves. Theresa joined the Auxiliary in 1957 and has maintained her membership since then. We want you to know that she will be remembered in our prayers throughout the year, but especially at the Sisters mass for deceased sisters, associates, relatives and friends which will be held on Saturday November 7th in the Catholic Charities/SSC Motherhouse Chapel, 2601 W. Marquette Rd, Chicago. The mass begins at 9:30 AM but a reading of the names of the deceased from this past year will begin at around 8:45 AM. For further details, call 773-776-1324. In addition, please know that the Auxiliary will have a separate mass said for the repose of the soul of Theresa. Again, our most sincere condolences to your family at this difficult time.
