Valerie J. Peters

Valerie Josephine Peters, age 92, passed away from this earth on July 31, 2014. Valerie and her husband Rudy were married 63 years and raised two sons, Richard and Carl. They lived in North Riverside for 56 years and were involved in many activities. For 15 years, Valerie and Rudy volunteered to deliver “Meals on Wheels”. Together they joined the VFW, Rudy became commander in 1987 and Val joined VFW Ladies Auxiliary and served many different positions. They very much enjoyed the VFW 6869 and the Just In Between Club. Valerie loved to work with her hands. She was a loving mother and wife and sewed many clothes for her grandchildren. Valerie was the beloved wife of the late Rudolph J., loving mother of Richard (Roberta) Peters and Carl (Sharon) Peters, cherished grandmother of Michelle Peters, Leslie (Charles) Jensen and Scott Peters, fond aunt to many.
